Earlier activities:

Interest has been sparked by the recognized government, and some representatives from education and training organizations, in the Palestinian territories for KAB to be made available in their country. The first step taken was an awareness raising workshop to present the KAB package to interested parties. Followed by a training workshop in July 2009 which gave Facilitators and entrepreneurship education Promoters the ability to deliver KAB in their institutions.

In Occupied Palestine, there are now 8 vocational training centres in the West Bank and 3 in Gaza operating under the Ministry of Labor (MoL). Secondary vocational schools, technical colleges and a technical university operate under the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

In Palestine, the pilot project was meant to introduce KAB in English language at university and in a number of technical colleges. In grades 11 and 12 of secondary vocational schools and vocational training centres KAB was to be introduced in Arabic language.

The objective is in line with the PNA document entitled: "Building a Palestinian State: Towards peace and prosperity" (Paris, December 2007). Economic and private sector development/ youth empowerment will focus on assisting young Palestinians to make the transition from schools into the work place through internship programmes, developing entrepreneurial skills and providing seed capital for business start-ups.

The project which took place from 2009 to 2011 seeked to achieve this overall development objective.

The evaluation is now available here.
