Armenia - Youth Entrenet

There has been a constant interest in providing entrepreneurship education and training to young people in Armenia since 2004. It was then that the ILO received a formal request from the Armenian government and workers’ and employers’ organizations (ILO tripartite constituents) requesting technical assistance for the introduction of various education and training programs, including the KAB programme. As a result of this request, and as a first step towards launching a pilot test for KAB beneficiaries, a group of technical and vocational training institutions participated in a KAB training workshop in April 2005 where 20 participants were trained.

Later that year, the president of the Armenian Young Women’s Association (AYWA), a non-profit, non-governmental organization implementing projects on business and personal skills for young women, and other colleagues were also trained to become KAB Facilitators at the ILO International Training Center in Italy. Finally, in 2006 and 2007 an additional group of 15 Facilitators and Trainers from various Armenian vocational training organizations were trained at this same Center.

Facilitators, Trainers and Promoters Trained: Around 30 (estimate)
