Rania Bikhazi, Enterprise Development Specialist at the Regional Office for Arab States, Samih Jaber, KAB regional facilitator for the Arab states, Ahmed Abdulbary, KAB trainer, SMEPS Yemen, and Wesam Qaid, Director SMEPS, held a meeting in Sana’a with the Yemeni Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, H.E Dr Ibrahim Hugari, to discuss the future of the KAB programme upon the completion of the pilot phase. The Minister was satisfied with the project and the programme’s implementation having heard the feedback from KAB teachers and been informed that more students expressed interest to enroll in the programme.
On the next day, a presentation was made by SMEPS of the KAB evaluation report to a number of officials from the Ministry and in the presence of the Minister. Based on the results presented, the Minister signed an MOU between the Ministry and SMEPS approving the national roll-out of the KAB programme in Yemen.
